Tom Cady

As General Manager KMB, Tom is responsible for leading the company’s revenue cycle management services unit, Kareo Managed Billing (KMB). Tom is a seasoned executive with over thirty years of experience serving medical groups of all sizes as a member of three different healthcare IT companies. With a deep foundation of leadership skills and a passion for client success and satisfaction, Tom has a proven record of team and culture building; staff development; business process and solution development; and sales execution. Over his career, Tom has been instrumental in helping fast paced, high growth organizations reach scale while driving improvements productivity and profitability.

Prior to Kareo, Tom was a key contributor to the incredible growth of two of healthcare IT’s most successful companies. For eleven years, Tom held senior leadership roles at athenahealth. As one of the company’s first Sales leaders, Tom was focused on driving sales growth which helped lead to a successful IPO in 2007. After the IPO, he took responsibility for the growth and scaling of the company’s Professional Services organization as the company nearly quadrupled in size. Before athena, Tom held numerous leadership positions in operations and client services at IDX Systems Corporation (purchased by GE Healthcare) over the period of seventeen years. During the last part of his tenure at IDX, he drove the creation and growth of a 150-person consulting services organization focused on driving value for medical groups through revenue cycle optimization, process reengineering and automation. Tom has also served as the Vice President of Professional Services at CareCloud. Most recently, he was a founding member of the team that started Ripple Analytics, a SaaS based employee evaluation and feedback platform.

Tom is a family man and father of three children. He is an avid sports fan, loves to cook and enjoys staying active through ice hockey and Crossfit.
