New Workers' Comp Office

Follow these steps to add a Workers' Comp office record:

1.  On the Settings menu, click Other Lists>New Workers' Compensation Office. This opens the New Workers' Compensation Office task.

Optionally, if you are adding more than one workers' compensation office during the same work session, you can click Find Workers' Compensation Offices to open the Find Workers' Compensation Office task (or browser); and then click the New button on the Task Button Bar of the browser to add a new workers' compensation office. As you add new offices to the system, the new offices will be added to the list area of the browser.

2.  On the Task Button Bar, click New. This opens the Add Workers' Comp Office task.

3.  Enter the following information:

  • Office Name: Enter the name of the Workers' Comp Office.

  • Case Number: Enter the case number assigned to the patient by the Workers' Comp Office

  • Address: Enter the street address (including suite number or other secondary unit designator, if applicable), and then enter the zip code. Once you tab out of the address box, the system will automatically populate the city and state for you. (If a two-line street address, be sure to enter the zip code on a separate line, see City/State Auto Complete.)

  • Phone: Enter the phone number, including area code, in the format “( XXX) XXX-XXXX” (e.g., (714) 555-1234); or you can omit the formatting and type the phone number directly in the format “ XXXXXXXXXX” (e.g., 7145551234). You can also enter an extension number after the phone number, if available.

  • Fax: Enter the fax number, including area code, in the same format shown above.

  • Notes: Enter any ad-hoc notes or other data to store with the record.

4.  Click Save on the Task Button Bar to add the new Workers' Comp office to the master list; or to exit from the task without saving the new entry, click Cancel.
