New User Role

Assigning  user roles also allows application administrators to filter and group various reports by the user role. User roles also determine the dashboard a user sees when logging into Kareo.  Kareo has two preset user roles: Medical Office and Business Office. Each dashboard has workflow shortcuts and dashboard charts specific to the user role (see Workflow Shortcuts and Dashboard Charts).

 

To create a new user role

  1. Click Settings > Security > New User Role.

  2. Enter the name and description of the user role.

  3. Select the dashboard from the drop-down menu for this user role.

  4. Click Save.

 

To assign a user role

  1. Click Settings > Security > User Accounts.

  2. Double-click a user’s name.

  3. Select a user role in the User Role drop-down menu.

  4. Click Save.
