Find Diagnosis Code

Follow these steps to find an existing diagnosis code:

1. On the Settings menu, click Codes >Find Diagnoses. This opens the Find Diagnosis task (or browser), which displays the list of diagnoses codes.

2. Use the Search Bar at the top of the browser to locate the diagnosis code.

To search for a diagnosis code, do the following:

In the Look For box, enter the code or partial code (number), or enter the name of the diagnosis, preferably using a single or partial-word identifier (such as "Polio", or "Tuber" for Tuberculosis).
Select the field you wish like to search across from the drop-down list in the Search In box (e.g., All Fields, Code, Official Name, or Local Name).
Click the Find Now button to execute the search.

3. Once you find the diagnosis code record, double-click on the record to view it; or click once on the record and then click the Open button.

4. To close the record, press the Esc key on your keyboard. This returns you to the Find Diagnosis browser.

5. To close the browser, press the Esc key again.
