Edit Collection Category Record

Follow these steps to change an existing collection category record:

1.  On the Settings menu, click Other Lists>Find Collection Categories. This opens the Find Collection Category task (or browser).

2.  Use the search bar at the top of the browser to locate the collection category record. (For help in locating a collection category, refer to the relevant steps in Find Collection Category.)

3.  Once you find the collection category, double-click on the record to open it for editing; or click once on the record and then click Open on the Task Button Bar.

4.  Make changes to the record, as necessary.

Dunning Message: Any new message that you add to the Dunning Message text box will be printed on all future statements for patients that fall within the collection category, and only when the Patient Statements? checkbox is checked. See New Collection Category for more information.

Alert Message: Any new message that you add to the Alert Message text box will appear at the top of various records in the system for all patients within the collection category; and only when the Show Automatic Alert? checkbox is checked. This message will be displayed in addition to any Patient Alert messages that might have been added under the "Alerts" tab of a patient record. See Patient Alerts for more information.

Changing the Default Collection Category: If you wish to make this collection category the default category, click the Set As Default button. Caution: Once a collection category has been selected as the default category, all new patients added to the system will automatically be placed in this category. Be extremely careful not to click the Set as Default button unless you specifically intend to change the default to this collection category.

5.  Once edits have been made to the record, click the Save button to save the changes; or to exit the task without saving the changes, press the Esc key on your keyboard. This returns you to the Find Collection Category browser.

6.  To close the browser, press the Esc key again.
