Document Viewer
Kareo now provides advanced tools to help you adjust the viewing area of your documents; including vertical and horizontal scroll bars, a hand tool to help you move around a page, improved keyboard controls for moving around a document, improved zoom-in and zoom-out features, and the ability to view a document in full screen mode.
Instructions on how to use these new features are described below:
Vertical and Horizontal Scrolling
When the document page is larger than the viewing area, you can use the vertical and horizontal scroll bars to scroll horizontally or vertically around a page.
You can also use the arrow keys on your keyboard to scroll horizontally or vertically.
Using the Hand Control
When the document page is larger than the viewing area, hovering your mouse over an area of the page turns your mouse into a hand tool. You can move the page around by pressing and holding down your left mouse button while dragging the page horizontally or vertically.
Zoom-in and Zoom-Out
When hovering your mouse over the document viewer, pressing the [ Ctrl] key on your keyboard turns the hand tool into a magnifying glass. Pressing the left mouse button while holding down the [ Ctrl] key zooms in incrementally, pressing the right mouse button while holding down the [ Ctrl] key zooms out incrementally.
You can also use the zoom-in and zoom-out buttons just below the document viewer. Pressing the + button zooms in incrementally, pressing the - button zooms out incrementally.
Pressing [Ctrl] + and the [Ctrl] - keys on your keyboard also zooms in and out incrementally.
Rotating a document page
You can rotate scanned documents by 90 degree increments. This allows you to rotate or flip documents that were scanned upside down or sideways so that you can properly view the images in the correct orientation on screen. To rotate a document, click the Rotate button below the document viewer.
Paging through a document
If the document contains two or more pages, you can browse through the pages of the document by clicking the left or right arrow on the page navigation control below the document viewer. Clicking the right arrow (>) advances you to the next page; clicking the left arrow (<) returns you to the previous page. To advance to the end of a document, click the right double-arrows (>>); to return to the beginning of a document, click the left double-arrows (<<).
You can also use the [Page Up], [Page Down], [Home], and [End] keys on your keyboard to accomplish the same thing.
To advance to a specific page in the document, type the beginning page number in the page navigation control box, and then press the [Enter] key on your keyboard.
Full Page Mode
If you would like to quickly return to the full page mode after zooming into a document page, press the Fit button below the document viewer.
Full Screen Mode
To view the document in full screen mode, click the Full Screen button below the document viewer. Note: When you are in full-screen mode, the Navigation Pane, Status Bar, and Tool Bar will be hidden from view.
To return to the previous view, click the Full Screen button again. This button toggles between full screen and normal mode.
Optionally, you can toggle between full screen and normal screen mode from the menu bar by clicking the Windows menu, and then click Full Screen.
Note: This new feature works the same throughout the application, regardless of which task you have open.
Also, when you are in Full Screen mode, you can switch between opened tasks by selecting the task from the Windows menu. To close a previously opened task, select the task from the Windows menu and then press the Esc key on your keyboard.
