Delete Referring Physician

Follow these steps to delete a referring physician record:

1. On the Settings menu, click Other Lists>Find Referring Physicians. This opens the Find Referring Physician task (or browser).

2. Use the search bar to locate the referring physician. (For help in locating a referring physician, refer to the relevant steps in Find Referring Physician.)

3. Once you find the physician, select the record by clicking once on the physician and then click Delete on the Task Button Bar.

Note: You can only delete a referring physician if there are no previous activities associated with the physician (such as a scheduled appointment or an encounter that has been submitted). If you attempt to delete a referring physician when there are previous activities associated with the physician, you will receive a message stating that the physician cannot be deleted.

4. To close the Find Referring Physician browser, press the Esc key.
