Performance Improvements and Time-Saving Adjustments to Improve Your Kareo Experience

In Kareo's latest release, we have focused on enhancing performance, as part of improving your Kareo customer experience. As the first of a series of performance upgrades, this release includes some internal improvements such as expanding the number of servers we use to support you, and modifications to the application itself in order to speed processing.

Depending on your own system, you will see the results in areas including faster loading of certain screens, some faster processing and some improvement in overall performance. For example, the New Encounter screen will load up to twice as fast for most users. In addition, you should experience faster loading in a few screens, including Find Claims, Find Patients and Find Documents.

For future releases, we will continue to improve performance, even as we add new features, in order to provide the optimal experience for you.

Additional Enhancements to Streamline Your Medical Billing

By customer request, the following minor changes were also included in this release.

Payment ID Number on Claim Transactions - Added the payment ID to payment transactions displayed on the Claim Detail screen for faster identification.

Order of Claim Transactions - Changed the ordering of claim transaction messages to more accurately reflect the order of events that happen in the billing process.

Claim Transaction Related to Secondary ERAs - Fixed so that the correct payer is identified in the description of claims transactions that are related to ERAs from a secondary insurance company.

Patient Statement Wizard - Removed "mark as submitted" confirmation box in order to prevent the submission of duplicate patient statement batches.

To Do List - Removed the reminder that previously displayed if you had not yet set up a kFax number for your practice.

Appointment Details - Fixed so you can now type the patient name to automatically link the patient record to the appointment.
