Kareo is a small, fast growing software company based in Irvine, Southern California. We’re less than 10 minutes from the beach and 1 hour to downtown L.A. Our cloud based software powers thousands of small medical practices in the U.S. helping doctors get paid. We’re leading our industry in the shift from traditional software to cloud computing (SaaS).

Kareo, originally founded in 2005, doubled customers and revenue in 2010 and we’re on track to double again in 2011. Because of our recent growth, we’ve been lucky enough to receive a significant investment of growth capital and we’ve decided it’s now time to add some serious creative talent to our growing team.

Your role

Transforming concepts, wireframes and prototypes into designs for applications, websites and other interactive communications is the Lead UI Designer’s job to take.

You’ll be working closely with a tight-knit team that includes a product team, a small marketing team, web developers and software engineers. Based on your creative abilities and real-world experience, we’re budgeting for a competitive salary, you’ll be entitled to benefits and lucrative stock options in a fast growing private company, and we’ll set you up with your work environment of choice whether that be Mac or PC.

The Lead UI Designer will be in charge of delivering highly usable and engaging user interfaces for our web, desktop and mobile apps, and working closely with the product manager and interaction designer and measuring customer feedback.

You’ll shape the overall UX of our online presence, working closely with the marketing team, reviewing analytics, designing email newsletters and landing pages that will increase conversions, considering best practices for design, and administering A/B testing.

This is a key hire for Kareo. We need an enthusiastic UI designer to help take our product tp the next level, so you must be able to manage the entire creative process. You’ll need strong UX design skills, expertise in Photoshop (or Fireworks), experience with designing interfaces not just for web, but for desktop and mobile also. Attention to detail and pixel perfection is a must. Experience with HTML and CSS is desirable.
